Hello Guys! I am going to teach you fellow Borderlands players how to create Modded Customized Weapons with Duncanfogg’s Gear Calculator and with WillowTree#2.2. You need to have basic knowledge on how to transfer save files from your console to an USB key to do this. If you do not know how to do that, please refer to other videos before doing this.
DISCLAIMER: I don’t own the music in this video. I do not take any responsibility for any damage to your Borderlands save file (Shouldn’t happen, though. :3) or if you get banned from XBox Live or PSN (If you play online). Do this at your own risk. There actually is just a 0,7% chance you’ll get your save file corrupted, so there isn’t really any big risk. Plus, you will backup your previous Save File so that you can keep any progress you made before modding the weapons.
Let’s Start with what you will need.
- A PS3.
- An USB Key.
- WillowTree#2.1 or higher.
All links will be on the Description, so don’t worry.
— IMPORTANT —
Before beginning you must have your character’s Save File in your USB. I will not teach you how to do that in this tutorial since it is pretty easy, and there are many videos about it on YouTube. Sorry. D:
First of All, we will be making a backup save file, just in case the previous one gets corrupted. Insert your USB into your computer’s USB port and go to it’s folder.
In this tutorial i am using a PS3 Save File. If you correctly copied the save file from your console to the USB key, a new folder should appear on it. DoubleClick, SAVEDATA, and then copy and paste BLES_____-SAVE-SAVE01 to the desktop or any other folder. The _’s on the name are numbers.
Second, do what i do to load your SaveFile onto WillowTree#.
Third, navigate to Duncanfogg’s “Gear Calculator” and wait for it to load. Then check “AutoNaming”. The Link will be in the description.
Next, Carefully read these instructions:
- On the normal Borderlands (No DLCs) you can only make Standard Weapons like “AssaultShotgun”, “CombatRifle”, “CombatShotgun”, “MachinePistol”, “PatrolSMG”, “RepeaterPistol”, “Rocket”, “SemiAutoSniperRifle” (This one has a glitch, just change the “Grip” and then click Calculate to show the weapon), “SniperRifle” and “SupportMachineGun” (Normal, Gearbox or Reward).
You must have “Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition” or “The Armory of General Knoxx” DLC to be able to make every weapon. Also, if you don’t have DLCs, the level cap is 50, so do not set any weapon’s level higher than that, as you will not be able to equip it. -
Fourth, select an Item Grade. It will determine which weapon you want.
E.g. if you want an Automatic Shotgun, you must choose “AssaultShotgun”, if you want a Semi-Automatic one, “CombatShotgun”. Leave “Type” alone for now.
Let’s get to weapon parts. See the “Body”, “Grip”, “Barrel”, “Magazine”, “Sight”, “Stock” and “Material” windows? You should edit those to your preferences, depending on how you want the weapon to be. You can base it on Accuracy or on power, your choice. After choosing each part, be sure to click “Calculate” to see your weapon’s stats. If you do not like them,
