Here are some helpful links for clock repair
In this video I show my process of making some steel pin pallets for a 100+ year old Ansonia mantle clock with the visible Brocot escapement. Part 1 of this series will show some math used to determine the pin pallet sizes. Also explaining the “rule of thumb” of the 40-40-10-10 many horologists refer to when inspecting, making or purchasing the pin pallets, whether steel or jeweled. I also speed thru the machining process to give you a idea of my process though some simple tools can accomplish similar results. In part 2 we will install and test the pin pallets. After I complete the assembly of the clock movement we will see the Brocot escapement in action and show some before and after photos of the escapement.
